One day National Workshop on Machine Learning was conducted by the Department of Computer Science, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore on 16.03.2019. The workshop was sponsored by Mr. Kamalanathan R, CEO, Niki Softech, Mr. Senthil Kumar, CEO, Akash Exports and Mr. Kumar.

The resource person for the workshop was Mr.Abhishek Gunjan, AI Principal Scientist in Accenture Operations, Accenture, Bangalore. He has around 14 years of experience in AI & Analytics, team building, bringing new business and end-to-end delivery. Filed 12 patents with 5 granted in personality prediction, big data design, recommendation engine (for insurance and healthcare), continuous accounting and close, clinical research, classification framework, etc. Built multiple algorithms in classification, topic modelling, text summarization and correlation.
In the forenoon session, the various topics like Introduction to Machine Learning, Basis Mathematics required and why, Statistical Concepts, Machine Learning Concepts, Regression, Recommendation systems, Clustering and Classification are discussed. In the afternoon session, hands-on training was conducted for the participants by the Resource persons Mr.Abhishek Gunjan, Mr.Annest and Mr.Prannet.

The faculty and students from various colleges in and around Bangalore participated in the Workshop along with our students and faculties. The overall feedback on the workshop was good and the internal and external participants appreciated the content and hands-on training offered in the workshop. The participants requested to conduct a series of sessions on this topic in future.
